When analysing these double page spread articles they both contain several similarities and differences. For instance they both are from completely different genres of music and have completely different target audiences. With the article from 'We <3 Pop' it can been that there genre is pop however, the audience can be seen to be between the ages of 9-16 compared to the magazine article from 'Q' magazine which is a rock magazine and it's target audience compared to 'We <3 Pop's' is much older more sophisticated perhaps people aged 25-late 30's.
When comparing the structure of them it can be seen that 'We <3 Pop's' is bold, young, exciting and full but not overcrowded however, 'Q' magazine's layout is simple, refined and polished. Furthermore, both make the use if pull quotes to highlight the important parts of the article and provide a summary. However, a clear difference between the pair of them is that 'We <3 Pop' uses captions to explain the images but also they can seem light hearted, mocking (slightly in a jokey way) and humorous. Another difference in structure between the two would be the use of a kicker (big first letter of the article) in 'We <3 Pop', it can be seen as bold and the shape around them makes it seem creative and stand out. However, with 'Q' magazine a difference compared to 'We <3 Pop' is the layout and how it uses less images.
When lookig at the language used it can seem that in 'We <3 Pop' it is quite chatty, and informal. Other features that they both make the use of would be signifiers at the em of the article to show it has ended. Furthermore, they both make the use of different colours on the text represent the questions and responses given. From analysing this double page spreads I have decided that I want to include a collage of images put together on one page and vary my different camera angles when taking my pictures and also to make it bold, exciting to read to appeal to my target audience. Finally, out of both of these double page spreads I would love mine to most look like the one from 'We <3 Pop' because I found that this one is the closet representation that is appropriate for my target audience.
